Welcome to Detour Society. These Terms and Conditions("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Detour Society websiteand the purchase of digital travel itineraries ("Products") offeredby Detour Society ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing our website or purchasing any of ourProducts, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound bythese Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you mustnot use our services.
By using our services, you represent and warrant that:
• You are at least 18 years of age orthe legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.
• You have the legal capacity to enterinto a binding agreement.
• You are not prohibited frompurchasing digital goods under any applicable laws.
• All information you provide to us isaccurate, current, and complete.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access forany user who does not meet these eligibility requirements.
Detour Society offers curated digital travelitineraries for various cities and countries ("Itineraries"). EachItinerary is delivered as a digital download upon successful payment.
You acknowledge that:
• Itineraries are sold as digitalproducts and are delivered electronically.
• All travel recommendations, timings,costs, and operational details included in our Itineraries are provided in goodfaith but are subject to change without notice.
• It is your responsibility to verifycurrent conditions, opening hours, visa requirements, travel advisories, andany other details before and during travel.
• Detour Society does not act as atravel agent, tour operator, or booking platform and does not arrange, book, orguarantee any third-party services referenced in our Itineraries.
All prices displayed on our website are in the currencystated at checkout. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Theprice applicable to your order is the price confirmed at the time of checkout.
Payments are processed securely through our third-partypayment providers. By completing a purchase, you authorise us to charge thetotal amount shown at checkout to your chosen payment method. We do not storeyour full card details on our servers.
Upon successful payment, you will receive an emailconfirmation containing a download link for your purchased Itinerary. If you donot receive this within 24 hours, please contact us at hello@detoursociety.com.
Prices may or may not include applicable taxesdepending on your location. You are solely responsible for any taxes, duties,or charges imposed by your local jurisdiction on digital goods.
All digital productpurchases are final. Once the product has been downloaded, no refunds, returns,or cancellations will be applicable.
We reserve the right to approve or decline any refundrequest at our sole discretion.
All content included in our Itineraries and on ourwebsite — including but not limited to text, graphics, photographs, maps,design, and layout — is the exclusive intellectual property of Detour Societyand is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Upon purchase, you are granted a limited,non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to use the Itinerary for yourown personal, non-commercial travel purposes only. You may not:
• Reproduce, redistribute, resell, orshare the Itinerary with any third party.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivativeworks based on the Itinerary.
• Use any content from the Itineraryfor commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
Unauthorised use of our intellectual property mayresult in civil or criminal liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
• Detour Society provides allItineraries on an "as is" and "as available" basis withoutwarranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• We do not warrant that theinformation contained in our Itineraries is accurate, complete, current, orerror-free. Travel information may become outdated due to changes beyond ourcontrol.
• We shall not be liable for anydirect, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out ofyour use of, or inability to use, our Products or services, including but notlimited to: loss of enjoyment, travel disruptions, financial losses, personalinjury, or property damage.
• We accept no responsibility for theacts or omissions of any third-party service providers (including hotels,restaurants, transport providers, or tour operators) referenced or recommendedin our Itineraries.
• Our total aggregate liability to youin connection with any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or ourProducts shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific Product givingrise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude ourliability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudor fraudulent misrepresentation.
If you have a dispute with us, we encourage you tocontact us first at hello@detoursociety.com so that we may attempt to resolvethe matter informally. We will endeavour to respond within 10 business days.
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of orin connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall begoverned by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United ArabEmirates (UAE), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
You irrevocably agree that the courts of the UAE shallhave exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or inconnection with these Terms or their subject matter or formation.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms atany time at our sole discretion. Changes will be effective immediately uponposting to our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. It isyour responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
Your continued use of our services following anychanges constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agreewith the updated Terms, you must cease using our services.
• Entire Agreement: These Termsconstitute the entire agreement between you and Detour Society with respect toyour use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
• Severability: If any provision ofthese Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisionsshall continue in full force and effect.
• Waiver: Our failure to enforce anyright or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that rightor provision.
• Assignment: You may not assign ortransfer any rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior writtenconsent. We may assign our rights freely.
